Thanks for inspiring me especially now that all the fresh veggies are at the farmer's market!!!
I hope your farmers market has lots of organic goodies. The one by my home had one booth out of nine or so. I'm thankful my local grocery store has lots of organic items to choose from - it's just not always local.
This post really speaks to me today (read my latest post ). After getting an ulcer from all my medications, I'm now convinced that my body is crying for help. Thanks for motivating me even more :)
I'm glad to hear these quotes are motivating you too, Maya. Because of my chemical sensitivities, I really don't have much of a choice when it comes to most meds, but to be honest I'm grateful.
I'm sorry to hear about meds causing your ulcers. My mother was diagnosed with bleeding ulcers when I was in high school. Since then I slowly began to realize medications can't always be the answer.
I sometimes hear, 'you just don't have the right combination of meds yet.' As if multiple medications are an even better choice. My poor liver! Besides, I've helped support health insurance and pharmaceutical companies enough. Time to support some organic farmers instead :)
Much truth here, but I do not believe every cure can be found by diet.
Very true, Diane. Diet alone can't cure anything - just like prescription medication. Most are temporary band-aids, which help keep us in limbo, while keeping big pharma in business. If we're not watching the additives/pesticides in our environment or in the foods we consume, medicine probably isn't as effective anyway. But this is strictly my opinion.
I truly believe "prevention" of diseases can be found in an organic, whole food diet, as well as keeping active and flexible. This way there never needs to be a need for a "cure."
