What's Jasmine been up to?

I'm alive and kicking, and attempting my third elimination diet. Only this time I'm doing it under the supervision of a Neurologist who specializes in Ayurveda. I won't post details until I see results - why waste anyone's time.

Now that we're in the New Year, I've been able to return to physical therapy twice a week - with 365 days in a year, only being covered for 25 appointments seems so cruel. My neck, shoulder and arm pain continue to heal, but there's still a lot of inflammation that needs to come down. Let's hope this diet change will reduce/eliminate the foods that are causing inflammation. Because PT has helped with pain levels, I've been able to perform light exercise in the evenings.

I sure hope to share good news with you soon, but it will more than likely take some time.

I have never understood the limits put on physical therapy visits that are independent of progress or need. Glad you have it for at least a few months!!!

Thanks, I'm hoping to get to a point where I'm going once a week, and later once every other week, to help stretch the days out. But my PT knows my body isn't ready.

Jasmine,

You're lucky to find a neuro helping you with your elimination diet! I started one this year with the help of the "Heal Your Headache" book by Dr. Buchholz. My neuro didn't have much to say about it though, other than go for it. Keep us posted on how your diet goes; hope it works!

Thank you, Heather. The book my doc recommended to me is "Eat Taste Heal." It gives a nice explanation of Ayurveda, including the Doshas, and how to decipher which you are, and it has lots of recipes based on which of the Doshas need balancing; in my case, Pitta. I can't wait to try them.

I finally feel like I found the best thing, and cannot wait to share some good news.

I look forward to positive results posted here soon. I remember the migraines and food sensitivities in my past. i remember trying to find help for them through a range of traditional and non-traditional practitioners. Over time it seems my sensitivities changed (worsened some might say). Living away from humanity has helped some... Meanwhile birthday twin, I wish you good health and success in your quests. HUGS! (gentle ones)...

Thank you so much, Elaine. The hubby and I are very interested in the living-away-from-humanity you speak of. Happy Birthday to you, and gentle hugs :)
