Be true to your school

Something my uncle used to always say, and to this day I haven't a clue what it means. Doing a search online I see it's the title of a Beach Boys record from 1963. Fascinating.

Started my second semester of music courses, and things have gotten challenging. Trying to conduct with one hand while sight-reading music is not easy. I know things will click after some time. I just have a bad habit of wanting to be badass at something from the start.

Besides Ear Training I have Music Theory, Intermediate Voice, and Classical Guitar II. I'm even taking a tennis class one night a week, to see if I can slowly get my body moving again. I'm hoping playing later in the day, sans sunlight and heat, will curb my exertion headaches.

Had another one of those dreams again. It's funny how they always occur during the same time of the month. I didn't let it get to me this time.

Took a walk last night with the hubby and discussed evolution. I love our walks because there are no distractions, and I get to hear all the things my hubby thinks about during his work day. In his opinion the idea of man coming from apes is too far-fetched. If that were true why have some apes remained unchanged? And why do humans come in so many colors? Were there multi-raced apes thousands of years ago?

He's not too hot on the Big Bang Theory. There has to be something/someone larger than us that had a hand in how perfect our world is - how we are just the right distance from the sun, how the moon controls the tides, and how the world spins on its axis at just the right angle to warm our planet. And that there must be life on other planets in galaxies far, far away. We also discussed whether or not our paths are planned out before we are born, or if all the good and the bad we experience are directly influenced by choices we make in this life, or ones we made in previous lives.

Haha, that was some walk. We didn't reach our door step with any answers, of course, but that wasn't the point. Maybe it's the same with life. It's not about having all the answers.
