An Inconvenient Truth

I'm listening to Dane Cook's Retaliation CD and I'm having a difficult time thinking of what to blog. I'm just laughing too hard.

"An Inconvenient Truth" is coming to a theatre near me around June 9th. There's this funny website someone sent me that speaks out against Al Gore's book/movie. Basically their 60 second ads say since we expell CO2 and trees take in CO2 (trees we're chopping down at an alarming rate, which of course they don't mention) then what's the big deal. Unfrickenbelievable.

The semester's almost over

Wow what a journey back to school this has been. The semester ends the first week of June - right around the corner. I'm really proud of myself for going back to school and this time doing what I love =)

The headaches have been really bad the past two weeks. I blame June gloom and hormones. I actually had another positional vertigo episode. This time no medications to blame it on. I think I was taking Elavil the first time it happened. Then Keppra the last time it happened. I wanted to believe it was a side effect - not something that could decide to return whenever it wanted.

Happy Birthday Dear Husband...

So in a few days my husband and I will be celebrating his 33rd birthday. I told him today what his gift will be. I'm going to write up a contract, stating my health goals and what foods I vow to cut out, etc. My gift is a healthier wife by his next birthday; possibly even bathing suit ready (/gulp).

Hahaha, as I read this aloud to him he asks, "Can't I just have a fishing boat?" LOL, men.

This isn't just about losing 25-lbs. It's more of a promise to create healthier habits, including a lot more exercise than walking up stairs or across a tiny campus to my classes.

In the long run this is great for both of us - not just because he'll have a sexier, more confident wife. I'm hoping he'll see my progress and follow suit. I really want him to be around a long, long time =)
